The final season of The Crown will depict the death of Princess Diana and its effects on Britain’s royal family and the world — so it’s no surprise that Diana (played by Elizabeth Debicki) is front and center in several images that Netflix has released from the coming season.
The sixth and last season of the Emmy-winning drama will be split into two parts, with four episodes premiering Nov. 16 and the remaining six following on Dec. 14. Part one will follow the relationship between Diana and Dodi Fayed (Khalid Abdalla), leading up to the 1997 car crash in Paris that killed both.

Other images from the first part of the season show Diana and Prince Charles (Dominic West) with their sons, William and Harry (Rufus Kampa and Fflyn Edwards; Ed McVey and Luther Ford play the older princes in part two), as well as portraits of Imelda Staunton as Queen Elizabeth II and Salim Daw as Mohammed Al Fayed.
The Crown’s final season will cover the years 1997-2005. The season’s complete logline reads, “A relationship blossoms between Princess Diana and Dodi Fayed before a fateful car journey has devastating consequences. Prince William tries to integrate back into life at Eton in the wake of his mother’s death as the monarchy has to ride the wave of public opinion. As she reaches her Golden Jubilee, the Queen reflects on the future of the monarchy with the marriage of Charles and Camilla [Olivia Williams] and the beginnings of a new royal fairy tale in William and Kate [Meg Bellamy].”
